The VariSource Vaginal Applicator Set with its centrally located tandem is suitable for the treatment of disease of the vaginal wall and dome. The acrylic vaginal applicators are 14cm long and the set consists of 6 various diameter cylinders; 20, 23, 26, 30, 35 and 40 mm. Two end caps and 2 stainless steel tandems (straight) 3 mm in diameter are provided for connection to the VariSource remote afterloader.

The Vaginal-Shielded Applicators are made of Acrylic and the set consists of 6 vaginal cylinders 14 cm in length and diameters of 20, 23, 26, 30, and 40 mm. The vaginal cylinders are hollow to allow for insertion of the tungsten shields. The tungsten shield set consists of 2 each segments 90°, 1 segment 180° and 1 ea 270°. When shielding is not required, acrylic segments are inserted to fill the voids. Specially designed end caps provide visualization of the segments within the applicator while simultaneously keeping their orientation fixed during HDR treatment.

The VariSource Segmented Vaginal Applicators are primarily used for the treatment of the vagina. Although unshielded, these applicators can be adjusted to various anatomical conditions. The set is provided with 6 applicators of different diameters; 20, 23, 26, 30, 35 and 40 mm. The vaginal cylinders can be adjustable in length to best fit vaginal cavity. This is accomplished by adding or subtracting segments. Additionally, each segment is 30 mm long and provided with a radio-opaque marker ring.

The VariSource Rectal Applicator Set is composed of 2 ea Acrylic cylinders 25 mm diameter, 60 mm long and 2 ea cylinders 30 mm diameter, 100 mm long. Tungsten segments can be assembled into a cylindrical shell for insertion in the rectum. This modular assembly allows for selective treatment of disease of the rectum while sparing healthy tissue. The set includes 2 ea stainless steel tandems, 3 mm diameter, 4 ea exchangeable tungsten segments; 2 ea 90°, 1 ea 180°and 1 ea 270°. Specially designed end caps (4 ea) maintain the tungsten segments orientation and location during HDR treatment.

The VariSource Vaginal/Cervical Applicator Kit consisting of 6 Acrylic cylinders 14 cm long are used for the treatment of the Uterus, Vagina or the Vaginal Stump. The set is composed of acrylic cylinders of various diameters; 20, 23, 26, 30, 35 and 40 mm and includes 3 tandems 6/3 mm in diameter. Tandems are provided straight, medium and maximum curved. The vaginal cylinders are conical which allows for curved tandems to be used. Connectors are provided for compatibility with VariSource remote afterloading systems.
