and Nucletron microSelectronŽ remote afterloading
systems. Additionally, the Mick Interstitial HDR Implant
System is suitable for Brachytherapy involving Oral
Cavity Tumors, Oropharyngeal Tumors, Neck Tumors and
Soft Tissue Sarcomas.
The IORT-HDR Breast Applicator system
has been developed in conjunction with Dr. Michael
Zelefsky, Director of Brachytherapy Services at Memorial
Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. The HDR
Breast Set is comprised of various sizes applicators
tailor-made to fit the surgical site. In addition,
a sliding tungsten shield is provided for the protection
of the skin. These applicators are compatible with
VariSourceŽ and GammaMedŽ remote afterloading systems.
A series of quality assurance test
tools are available for the busy physicist to perform
daily or monthly routine output measurements including
all mechanical and geometrical treatment parameters
for Linear Accelerators.
